All puppy items are packed and ready to go! Crate with bedding, plus lots of extra bedding. Soft stuffed critter for puppy snuggling in the crate. A couple toys for stops. Lead, collar annd halter. Water and bowl. Food and bowl. Address to hotel and breeder loaded in the GPS, and written down. And one helpful niece, ready to leave with me at 6:00 am tomorrow.
We drive up tomorrow, and spend the night in a hotel. I asked my husband to reserve a room for us, reminding him that we were only staying one night and would be tired enough to sleep so we didn't need anything other than a clean, handicapped accessible room. He decided that we should have a suite, since we were going to get there in the mid-afternoon. I think I'll keep him.
We'll pick up Reilly in the morning and head back. I'm planning short stops about every two hours. All three of us could use the breaks, and the more Reilly gets walked the less likely he is to have accidents in the car. Unless he gets car sick. Hmmmm. I think I'll go pack an extra roll of paper towels.
I'll post pictures either Sunday night or Monday, depending on when we get in and how tired I am.
